Senior Drama - an evolving vision for a changing world

Senior Drama examines the ways in which culture reflects our voice and challenges our world vision.

Students explore this through:

  • theatre excursions
  • working with professional theatre companies
  • study of theatre through history, literature, politics, philosophy and religion

Year 11 Drama has been revised in accordance with the new QSA syllabus. Students study performance from two approaches:

Semester 1 - The Actor Prepares

Semester 2 - The Artists Plan

Year 12 Drama specifically looks at Drama in the last century. Focusing first on Australian Drama, and then moving into areas chosen by the students, the idea of finding and articulating your own voice is critical.

Assessment is designed to extend the skills developed in Year 11, so that students can maximise their successes.
