Course Overview............Course Objectives
Theories of evolution suggest that the earliest organisms were single celled. Complex multi-cellular organisms begin with a single cell. These cells are then organized into tissues, organs and body systems resulting in a functioning organism. Why do organisms require more cells rather than larger cells as they increase in size? How does a multi-cellular organism develop from a single cell into an organism with billions of differentiated cells that all carry out their own specific functions? Reproduction of mammals will be studied in detail as well as the way reproductive technologies are used.
Evaluation of the use of these technologies and the making of informed decisions about their use will be carried out.
