V.E.T

VET - Hospitality and Business Students have gained transferable work and study skills with achievements in certificate II in Hospitality Practices and Retail.

They have achieved success through simulated and real practical experience which provides them with a sense of reality for their study.

Mrs Marie Previte Head of Faculty: Business and Technical Studies.

Vocational Education has been a major success at Terrace since its inception in 1994. The concept of Nationally Recognised training has obviously appealed to both students and parents with a consistent level of demand.

One obvious advantage of these courses is the competency based assessment of students.

This ensures immediate feedback to students and motivates them to maintain a high standard throughout the course.

Another advantage is the modular nature of the courses that allow students to complete units within a course and receive national recognitions for any modules successfully completed.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Gregory Terrace uses outside a Registered Training Organisation to help deliver a number of courses in order to provide students with the opportunity of receiving higher level certificates.

Some of the courses students may choose will provide them with the Certificate but not a level of achievement. Nationally recognised certificates can provide non-OP students with an alternate ranking result at the end of senior.
