A differentiated curriculum in subject areas promotes the extension of students at Terrace. Many faculties also offer entry into competitions such as the Faculty of Mathematics
To complement and extend the current curriculum, students are offered in Year 8 an extension course in Mathematics. A Maths Honours Program operates in Years 9 and 10.

Currently operating in Terramoodle our online learning environment, students from Year 5 to Year 8 with passwords can access the Challenge a Day Site. This site has a variety of tasks, some linked to current curriculum, for students to undertake at their teacher's discretion or in their own time.
The school also offers a comprehensive range of extra curricular activities, including music, debating, film making and chess for students with exceptional abilities in these areas.
