Students will begin with the study the hydrological cycle and the components of a catchment.
Students will then investigate more closely the features of the upper, mid and lower catchment and the work that rivers do to create these different features. The different drainage patterns will also be studied.
Students will also investigate the formation of river bends, meanders and ox-bow lakes.
Students will then investigate issues of water in Australia. This will include a study of the Murray-Darling and culminates in an excursion to investigate the Urban Water Story.
