What is Geography At Terrace?

Geography forms part of the Study of Society and Environment Faculty at Terrace. In the Middle School, Years 5-8, Geography is taught through the SOSE subjects.

In Years 9-10, Geography is an elective subject but one that offers many opportunities for the development of a range of skills. These include research skills, data collection in the real world, and both written and oral communication skills.

In Years 11-12, Geography is also an elective subject that contributes to the attainment of an OP. The subject content is stated in the QSA syllabus although allowances of local examples and resources is still able to be fully utilized. Geography, also contains many of the Core Curriculum Elements, on which the Queensland Core Skills Test is based and is therefore a very valuable subject to undertake at Senior level.
