Science topics encompass the range of strands covered in the Queensland Science Syllabus including Science in Society, Life and Living, Earth and Beyond, Energy and Change and Natural and Processed Materials.

Emphasis is placed on ensuring students develop a good grounding in Chemistry, Physics and Biology.  This should then enable them to make an informed choice of senior science subjects and also prepare them for the subjects they choose to study.

Some of the highlights of the year include the dissection to examine the reproductive system of the toad and various experiments and demonstrations on electricity and light.  The students enjoy their introduction to titrations in the chemistry unit.
