Tour Group Itinerary

Monday 29th March, 1999

The Banff/North American Music Tour left the Brisbane Domestic Terminal on Monday 29 March 1988. The group assembled at 8:45 am.

Flight AN127 left at approximately 10:55 am and arrived in Sydney at 12:25 pm.

The group then transferred to the International Airport in Sydney to board Air NZ14 at 4:35 pm to LosAngelos.

This flight arrived in LA at 12:15pm on Monday 29th March 1999 local time (note: same day due to the international time differences) but, due to delays in actually parking the plane at LAX, only one group made their connecting flight on time.

At LosAngelos, the Musicians the split into two smallergroups (to accomodate smaller planes)

• Group One - Boarded Canadian Airlines CP518 departs LA at 4:10 pm arrive Calgary in Canada at 8:15 am
• Group Two: Were to Board Delta Airlines DL1540 to Salt Lake City - departs 3:05 pm arrives SLCity 5:50 pm then to Calgary DL1612 departs 8:10 pm arrives 10:13 pm. This, however wasn't what happened. This group eventually (after 36 hours in transit) arrived in Banff (at approximately 2:30 am local time)

The groups then transferred to Banff from Calgary by coach and then check into the Banff Centre.

Tuesday 30 March

Sightseeing/Sleep-in in Banff/Lake Louise area and a trip up to Sulphur Mountain gondola and to Banff Hot Springs. Lunch at Banff centre

Wednesday 31 March

Morning & afternoon were be spent Skiing. Lessons started 11 am. Packed lunch provided by Banff Centre. Dinner 6 pm. Opening Ceremonies 8 pm

Thursday 1st April - Monday 5 April

Banff International Festival/Master Classes.

Tuesday 6 April

Departed Banff for Calgary at 3:00am after a video dance party.

• Group Two: Air Canada AC763 dp 9:15 am arrive LA 11:20 am
• Group One: Canadian Pacific CP517 dp 8:20 am arr. LA 10:30 am

Arr. LA and board coaches to Palm Springs to meet Homestays Staff staying at Comfort Inn, 390 South Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

Wednesday 7 April

Thursday 8 April

Early dept. from Palm Springs for Anaheim (Disneyland) All day at Disneyland.

Friday 9 April

Dep. Anaheim for Universal Studios - lunch provided

Dinner at the airport, then departed LA for Bris on NZ1 dep 9:15 pm

Due to arrive in Auckland 7 am Sunday on the 11th April (again, local time difference in this case about 17 hours).

Sunday 11 April

Dep for Brisbane on NZ131 at 9 am arr. NZ131 at Brisbane INTERNATIONAL terminal at 10:30 am
