7.1 January 2007 capital donation of $5,875.00 for Kawai YS6X Grand Piano for Waterford place.

7.3 To be paid April 2007 – refund still owing from cash receipts for cancelled PAA dinner $105

7.4 Summary of Accounts held for PAA month ending 31 March 2007

PAA Showcase $2,934.14

Total $14,372.20

AR to make enquires about the PAA Showcase account being separate.

Purchase of music folders approved – delayed due to logo issues.

 9. Music Report

Workshop and Concert with Ormiston College, 20 th April

  • This Friday, 20 th April, from 3pm Ormiston College – Concert and Jazz Bands (arriving by bus) will join with the Symphonic Winds Ensemble for a workshop and Concert. Dinner will be provided at 5pm, the concert will commence about 6pm and conclude between 7.30 – 8pm. Musicians will be taken home by their parents at the conclusion of the evening.

A Concert to Commemorate the Spirit of Anzac, 25 th April

  • The Middle School Singers and Terrace Singers will be performing on Wednesday, 25 th April – at the Anzac Day Concert - 2.30pm at The Evan and Mary Thompson Auditorium ( Wesley Hospital).
  • Dress: Informal Band Uniform

Next Tuesday 24 th April

  • Selected trumpet and brass will be included in the Anzac Commemoration held at Terrace.

Senior GPS Music Day 2 nd May

  • Includes those students who have nominated – they will receive notification this week.
  • Concert Band (Terrace)
  • Choir (Grammar)
  • Orchestra ( Old Museum)

Edmund Rice Mass 4 th May

  • Junior and Senior Singers
  • Senior Horn player and violin

Terrace Formal Music Concert 10 th May

The Conservatorium Theatre – 6pm – 9.30pm

  • Mr. Chapman to invite – the College Board, Provincial Leadership and Brothers.
  • Extend formal invitation to younger students and their families.
  • Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Senior Strings and Waterford Strings to perform.
  • Rehearsal periods 6 & 7
  • Possibility of function in the boardroom afterwards, involving dignitaries.

10. General Business

10.1 Friday April 20 th – SWE and Ormiston College

  • DD to set-up
  • JJ ordered pizza
  • CMcK check if possible to put drinks in tuckshop fridge, email Glenn – trestles/plates etc.
  • Venue: Campbell Centre
  • Food: Serve in undercroft (area outside Campbell Centre) in preference to tuckshop due to logistical issues.

10.6 Middle School Production – May 17, 18 and 19

    • DD: has ordered the food
    • CMcK: order tea/coffee/softdrinks
    • AR: organise float
    • TO’M: ask Darren Collins for a cast list to follow-up helpers

10.2 Middle School Concert 24 th May 2007

      • Venue: Campbell Centre – using 2 stages
      • Entry by gold coin donation
      • COMPLIMENTARY: pre-concert - Tea/Coffee/Cordial and biscuits (CMcK to speak to Glenn about Arnotts biscuits packs)
      • Raffle: CMcK to write to “Farmer Joe’s” and ask for prize donation
      • AR: to organise float and tickets
      • TO’M: to organise appropriate signage for: gold coin donation/raffle/complimentary refreshments

10.3 Terrace Revue – 15 th September 2007

        • Next meeting 25 th April 6.30pm
        • Will then put together a cast list/rehearsal times/theme?
        • CMcK to speak to Peter Whitehouse about lighting/tech
        • Anticipating about 400 people, seated at tables – perhaps $50-$60 ticket
        • YC stressed the importance of good quality sound as the Campbell Centre presents certain difficulties for live performance – suggested Brisbane Sound Hire – used for House Choir/Showcase, or for very professional package those responsible for the Awards night.
