Director of Sport | Mr Damian Wright

Rugby and Basketball had good weekends last Saturday at Tennyson and Spring Hill respectively with both flagship teams recording strong victories.

Basketball

The Basketball 1st V were outstanding and recorded a great victory through a strong team performance with all players contributing for the second week in a row. Now 2-0 to start the season this team will put on a good performance heading into a crunch game with early season favourites ACGS.

The Basketball program had a generally good day across the teams and the standard of play was first rate.

Rugby

The Rugby program had a record day with the scheduled weekend opponent providing 11 fixtures, of which Terrace were successful in nine of those games. Thanks to all the boys that accommodated all the supplementary games against NC, ACGS, TSS and BBC.

The 1st XV had a good performance against BSHS, running out convincing winners at the final bell.

This weekend vs ACGS, it is a good opportunity to support both first teams as they will play at the same venue. It is great to see so many Rugby boys stay behind and support the 1st XV, it would be just as pleasing to see Basketball boys stay behind and support the 1st V.

Support at ACGS

With both activities on side this weekend, it is a great opportunity for boys to mix between the two venues. Reminder for boys re the College expectation around dress standards – school uniform when supporting.
