Windsor House

Windsor House Crest

This name commemorates the Windsor family. Dr Henry Windsor was a student of the Brothers in Omagh, Ireland, and when he arrived in Australia he was an eminent benefactor of the College. Three of his sons, Harry (1922-1930) of heart transplant fame; Morgan (1924-1931) and Clem (1929-1939) all followed him into the medical profession and all became members of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr Henry provided the funds to build Terrace's first Swimming Pool on the southern end of the Brothers' House near the subway under Gregory Terrace in 1927.

His grandsons also attended Terrace, with Patrick Year 12 1990 being the last of them. His great-grandsons are enrolled at the College.
