Code Of Classroom Behaviour

  1. Arrive on time
  2. Arrive prepared to work
  3. Wait patiently and orderly outside the room until directed inside
  4. Enter in an orderly manner and await the teacher's instruction
  5. Follow carefully all directions given
  6. Stay on task
  7. Show courtesy
  8. Respect the rights of others to learn
  9. Record set homework in your diary
  10. Complete all set homework and written tasks to the best of your ability
  11. Take care of the classroom environment

Move along corridors considerately

To have a pleasant, healthy and safe environment To care for the school environment

To avoid unhealthy and dangerous practices

To be in a school that is well-regarded by the community To behave in a way which reflects well on the school

When addressing others, to use appropriate language that encourages mutual respect

To ask for assistance politely

To show appreciation when given assistance

To be safe and free from threat and for everyone's property to be safe To respect the property, person and rights of others

To observe safety rules

To report theft

To report bullying


Classroom Etiquette

  • Every person has the right to work in a pleasant, healthy and safe environment.
  • It is the responsibility of everyone at Terrace to ensure the teaching and learning occurs in a suitable environment.
  • By following the six steps below a suitable environment will be achieved.

STEPS

  1. Floor is clear of rubbish and board is clean.
  2. Desk, chairs and walls are clean of graffiti
  3. Furniture is neatly arranged and returned to set position at the end of the period.
  4. Noticeboards are cleared regularly.
  5. Door is locked at the end of the period.
  6. Classroom equipment is used only under teacher direction.
