RE and Ministry Parent Support Group.
AIM: The aim of the group is to support in what ever way is appropriate at the time, the Head and staff of the Religious Education Faculty and the Ministry Teams who organise and run the Retreats, the Street Programs, the social justice immersion units and other Ministry areas.
How The group does this by:
1. Providing a parent perspective in the RE Curriculum and Ministry.
2. Providing any practical support when necessary.
- Co-ordinating extra fundraising towards the Ministry programmes.
- Building awareness across the parent body of the RE and Ministry goals and issues.
- Supporting Parent-Retreats for all interested parents, past-parents and grandparents, and any other people connected to the Terrace community.
- Assisting the specific activities of the Terrace Timor Network (TTN) subgroup, which connects a wide group of people associated with Terrace to actively work in partnership with Comunidade Edmund Rice and the East Timorese to build sustainable communities in East Timor.
When: The group meets only once each term at 7pm on the days as listed in the Terrace calendar.
Where: In Faculty of Religious Education Office unless otherwise advertised.
