The sporting program at the College gives students the opportunity to express themselves in many different fields of sporting endeavour. The College competes actively in the Great Public Schools (GPS) and the Combined Independent Colleges (CIC) competitions for Secondary and Years 5 - 7 respectively.
Sport is not compulsory, but every student is strongly encouraged to represent the school and the program provides a wide range of choices for participation. Each sport has an experienced Director in charge who along with the Director of Sport, has carrage of that particular sport. Details of these exceptional leaders in their fields can be accessed via the Sports Directors Presentation below.
The following sports are currently part of our competitive program and can be accessed via the links below as well as detailed sports information of all the sporting programs across the CIC and GPS competitions; training times; training venues; competition days and venues and sports uniforms via the Sport Years 5 -12 Presentation below.

Students of all abilities are encouraged to compete in at least one of these sports. Most students actually compete in two or three activities. The element of participation, fun and the pursuit of skill excellence and teamwork are the dual keys to the Terrace sporting program.
The College has adopted a policy of providing its students with the best possible coaching programs, organisation and equipment. In return the College asks of its students commitment and dedication to their chosen sport.
One of the major benefits of offering sport is self-discipline. If students learn to discipline themselves in an area of great interest, then this tends to transfer to their normal school behavious and lifestyle.
This part of the philosophy recalls Br. Campbell's philosopy of educating the whole man. This is further reflected in our Mission Statement. In recent years, Terrace has achieved and maintained considerable success in many of the sports it offers. The College rates the manner in which a student plans for and executives the pursuit of excellence as far more important than the winning of premierships.
