The Terrace Swimming Supporters Committee was formed in 1982 to specifically assist coaches and swimmers in developing this sport at the school. Our primary objective is to offer as much support as possible by way of assistance at all swim meets, training breakfasts, BBQs and organising and running a fund-raising dinner and raffle. As such, we look to parents at Friday night meets to act as timekeepers, parents to help prepare breakfasts at Wednesday morning’s compulsory GPS training and assist with the swimming day at the coast. Most importantly we look to parents who may be able to secure a prize donation(s) for our multi-draw for swimmers on College Championship night and our Dinner raffle. All money raised goes towards running the GPS and CIC swimming programmes at Terrace i.e. coaching fees, pool hire, training resources, bus hire, swimmer incentive awards and multi-draw prizes.
The committee is always looking for new parents from all age groups to join the swimming supporters committee as well as parents willing to assist at carnivals, breakfasts and functions. If you have any questions regarding swimming functions and breakfasts, etc then the age co-ordinator or Swimming President will be able to assist you.
