TOURNAMENT RULES - CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

1. Tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the Laws of the Game adopted by Tennis Australia , the Tournament Rules and Regulations laid down by RQLTA and the Tennis Australia Code of Conduct.

2. Mr Broad and Mr Fisher shall have the entire control and management of the Tournament. Any matter not specifically covered by these Conditions shall be resolved by them, whose decision shall be final.

3. Entries must be submitted on the prescribed entry form. Each player must complete a separate entry form which must be completed in full, signed by parent or legal guardian to confirm acceptance of the Tournament Conditions and lodged to Mrs Mann. All players must play in their own Age Group but can also enter the Open Singles Championship.

4. In all events, matches will be one set and if the score reaches 6 games all, a 12 point tie-break shall be played to determine the winner. In the final, the match will be two sets with a tie-breaker at 1 set all to decide the match. A warm-up of 3 minutes shall be permitted prior to the commencement of each match. PLAY shall be continuous from the first service until the match is concluded.

5. In the event that a player sustains an accidental injury during warm-up or during a match, the player shall be entitled to request and receive a one time three minute suspension of play for on-court treatment.

6. Only balls approved by Tennis Australia may be used.

7. Players must be prepared to umpire and any player who refuses to umpire when appointed by the Tournament Supervisor may be forfeited from the Tournament. Not withstanding this there is no obligation to provide umpires and in the event of an umpire not being available, play must continue at the discretion of the Supervisor.

It is the players responsibility to ascertain the draw and to be in attendance at the courts at the times set down.

Players are expected to be ready to play fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled time. Players not ready to play may be disqualified.

In the Open Singles, the quarter-final, semi-final and final will be best of 3 tie-breaker sets. Age Group finals will be two sets with a tie-breaker at one set all to decide the match. A warm-up of 3 minutes shall be permitted prior to the commencement of each match. PLAY shall be continuous from the first service until the match is concluded.
