ANNUAL INTERHOUSE
TRACK AND FIELD CARNIVAL
TENNYSON PLAYING FIELDS
FRIDAY, 8 AUGUST 2008.
8.45 am - 3.00 pm
NOTE:
1. Students are to remain within the confines of the Tennyson Playing Fields and within House areas during roll call and lunch.
2. The areas/facilities available for the use of students at Tennyson include:
- the Michael Lynagh Field and Phil Carmichael Field (when competing)
- the field event locations (when competing)
- the assigned House areas
- the Canteen
- the Pavilion toilets
- the P & F Field (when competing)

3. ALL other areas are out of bounds AT ALL TIMES.
NB: Spectators are to stay well clear of the throwing event locations.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Students are to report to their House areas on arrival.
2. The House areas are along the tryline of the the Michael Lynagh Field and Phil Carmichael Field:
BARRETT House will be situated closest to the Tennyson entry with Windsor House being closest to the Eddie Dore Field.
3. Rolls will be marked in House areas by tutors at 8.45am and again at 3.00pm.
4. Every student is expected to compete for his House in the following uniform:
(a) BLACK SHORTS
(b) THE CORRECT HOUSE T-SHIRT
(c) EITHER WHITE SOCKS, TERRACE FOOTBALL SOCKS OR NO SOCKS.
(d) SPORTS SHOES ( N.B. - NO RUNNING SPIKES )
5. When not competing, students will wear sports shoes.
RULES OF COMPETITION
1. Competitors are to compete in their year level.
2. Every competitor will gain points for his House as long as a genuine effort is made to perform to the best of his ability - PARTICIPATION IS THE KEY.
3. All competitors must report to the official in charge of their event 10 minutesbefore the scheduled starting time or when directed by the announcer.
4. All competitors must compete in track events in the order as per the programme.
5. Normal rules of Track and Field apply.
