The Terrex “Extended Learning” Programs Supporters Group provides a network for parents of students in extension programs. Meetings are held each semester and take the format of a discussion, exchange of information or a guest speaker. The dates of these meetings are published in the Terrace News.

Our Charter:
The Terrace of Gifted and Talented Students Advice and Support Group will:
- assist in implementing the College Mission
- assist in the policy development for excellent gifted and talented programs
- encourage the development of a supportive network of parents of gifted and talented students
- strive to support staff working with gifted and talented students
- search for suitable mentors for the College Mentor Program
- provide input, advice and support for the welfare of individual gifted and talented students
- find ways to lift the self esteem of gifted and talented students
- assist in the exchange of information about College programs for gifted and talented boys
- assist in publicity about individuals achievements and College programs as appropriate
- make requests for financial help to assist gifted and talented boys and teams to compete in interstate and overseas competitions as need arises
- assist in the identification of gifted and talented students through such channels as: data from the school of origin, screening tests before entry to the College, Year 8 aptitude tests, academic competition results, volunteered information about the boys achievements.
This Parents of Gifted and Talented Boys Advice and Support Group will be led by a Committee of parents and staff elected or nominated ex officio.
This Committee will call periodic meetings open to all in the Terrace community to carry out these aims.
The Committee will formulate recommendations to be forwarded to the appropriate College authorities.
