Fundraising Programs – “An Investment in the Future of Terrace”
At the opening of the Treacy Centre, College Principal, Mr Peter Chapman, said that the College community has a long tradition of altruism and generosity.
This wonderful building reflects the contemporary generosity of so many parents, Old Boys and past families who have, though the hard work of the Gregory Terrace Foundation, made the timely renovation of this iconic building a reality.
The following fundraising programs seeking philanthropic support are operated by the Foundation
Rolling Pledge Campaign
Parents are interviewed and asked to contribute through a pledge commitment with regular voluntary tax deductible gifts to the Building Fund. The recent opening of the Treacy Centre affords Terrace flexibility in its planning to continue to provide students with a high quality education.
Annual Giving
Each year the Foundation approaches members of the wider Terrace Community- Parent- past and present, Old boys and friends- seeking a tax deductible donations to the Building Fund or Edmund Rice Scholarship Fund. The appeal letter, signed by the Principal and the President of the Old Boys' Association, explains the vision and future capital development plans to improve facility at the College and progress with the academic needs based bursary program (Refer to Annual Report of Donors 2011).
Bequests
A bequest made in one's will is an opportunity to invest in the future of Terrace. It can be made in a variety of ways- property, a fixed monetary sum, shared or bonds, insurance policy or a percentage of an estate.
