College Publications
Gregory Terrace values communication within the College Community and beyond, to the extended Terrace Family. Strong communication nourishes life at Terrace and facilitates connection in the partnership between students, parents, staff, friends and old boys alike. Our communication channels serve to convey important information about life at Terrace as well as what we celebrate and value.
In addition to our new website, which publishes news, events, announcements and items of interest dynamically, in real time; the College produces two printed publications, the Terrace News and The Terracian. Both have become part of the fabric that is Terrace and are edited by the College’s Communications and Public Relations Director, Mr David Potter.
The Terrace News is the College’s primary newsletter. It is produced weekly and contains important messages, calendar information, news and reports from Heads of Faculty, staff, student leaders and others within the Terrace Community. It is prefaced by a letter from the College Principal. The Terrace News is Terrace’s weekly “newspaper”. Current and archive editions can be downloaded online. |
The Terracian has been a part of Terrace in one form or another since 1938. Most recently, under the direction of recently-retired Editor Br Fergus Gagen, it became an invaluable means by which the College communicated news to Old Boys and the extended Terrace Family. Its aim - to share story and celebrate our great history. Produced quarterly, it has established a valued place in Terrace’s communications and an important way for Terracians to stay connected with College life. Printed copies are sent to Old Boys and the families of current students, and as with the Terrace News, current and archive editions can be downloaded online. |
