Terrace Ladies Group

The Terrace Ladies Group is a representation of Terrace mothers that provides support in many ways to our College Community.  We are a friendly and diverse group and welcome all mothers to become part of the TLG.

The TLG supports the College, staff, students and parents in many ways:

• Care and Concern – Confidential help on request (eg providing meals) for Terrace families or staff experiencing a sudden crisis or longer-term difficulties, such as illness.
• TLG Hospitality – Our welcoming faces (often with the offer of a cup of tea) will greet you at various school functions throughout the year, including orientation evenings and Open Day.  We have a Buddy System for our new parents where all their questions can be answered and to help them find their way around the College.
• We are the volunteers in the canteen for our home games for cricket, rugby and football.  The Tennyson Canteen is our major source of funds and is also a great place to meet other mothers as we support our sons.
• Our major social event for 2011 was the Fashion Parade.  This was a fabulous day supported by many.  In 2012 we look forward to a wonderful night at our next fundraiser which will be a Cocktail Party.
• The TLG meets monthly on a Monday (as per the School Calendar).  These meetings will keep you up to date with what is happening in your son’s life at Terrace and the school community.  The morning usually commences with a Principal’s address often a guest speaker and always followed by a morning tea.

Being a part of the TLG is rewarding in many ways.  You will not only meet new parents but will gain invaluable knowledge of what is going on in and around the school grounds.  We welcome all mothers to join us at our monthly meetings and find out more along the way.  You can access all the important dates and further information about the TLG on the Terrace website.
