TLG Update | Mrs Anna Wright
There were many highlights throughout Term 3, beginning with the Terralicious Fashion Parade and finishing this Saturday with our final home round of rugby at Tennyson. During the term, we logged over 1000 volunteer hours at TLG events. The Tennyson Canteen roster attracts familiar faces each week, but meeting so many new helpers during Rugby season and around the College generally has also been fantastic. The red aprons seem to be everywhere! If you haven’t had the chance to volunteer yet in Term 3, please consider signing up for this Saturday – we look forward to seeing you there.
Inter-House Athletics Carnival | Term 4 Event
With Olympic and Paralympic fever still running hot, Terrace athletes will vie for gold at the Inter-House Athletics Carnival on Friday 4 October. Rounding out the first week of Term 4, all parents are welcome to attend and watch the events from 9am – 2.30pm.
The Canteen and Kolega Café will be open for parent, student and staff lunches at the Athletics Carnival. If you can lend a hand, the Volunteer Sign-Up will be available from early next week. It is always a great atmosphere at Tennyson during a College event.
If you are working or cannot volunteer at the Athletics Carnival, please consider sending in home-baked goods (bought or made) or contributing $10 towards purchasing morning tea for teaching staff. The sweet treats can be delivered to school with your son on Friday 4 October from 7.30am and handed to volunteers in Duhig Place or Victoria Street or they can be brought directly to Tennyson.
TLG AGM | Save the Date!
For all those interested in attending, the TLG Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Wednesday 6 November, commencing at 7.30am. If you are interested in the Position Descriptions for the roles of President, Vice President and Hospitality, please email tlg@terrace.qld.edu.au for more information. We are delighted with the interest from our parents in joining the fabulous TLG, and welcome all newcomers.
