Terrace Ladies Group
Year 5 | 2018 Orientation
If you have a son starting at the College in Year 5 next year, please come along this afternoon to the Year 5 Orientation being held from 5 – 7pm. I am sure even our “old” families will find out something new and interesting about the College. Drop by and say hello to the TLG members and grab some light refreshments. A big thanks to all the lovely Year 9 mothers who offered to help us this afternoon!
TLG Spring Luncheon| 1 September | Hillstone | St Lucia
The TLG Spring Luncheon fundraising event is on tomorrow, Friday 1 September at Hillstone, St Lucia. We are very excited about it and hope this beautiful sunny weather holds out.
Please remember that you are welcome to attend the after-party at Gambaro’s, Caxton St, Petrie Terrace, from around 3pm, with $10 cocktails (selected), hot canapés and entertainment, even if you are not attending the luncheon.
Spring Luncheon raffle tickets
Raffle tickets are available now on the College Events page. You do not need to be attending the luncheon to buy tickets. There is a long list of amazing prizes on offer, including the amazing $5000 voucher from McKinney’s Jewellers! Check out the full list of prizes, ticket pricing and to purchase tickets here. Last chance - Father’s Day Cookbook Special
If the boys have been too busy with study and assignments to get ready for Father's Day, then the TLG have come to the rescue! Surprise your dad or grandfather with the Terrace Cookbook Special - a gift he will love using and remind him of you! Buy a hard-cover full colour Terrace cookbook filled with hundreds of great Terrace family recipes, a GT apron and Red & Black carry bag, all for $60 (+ booking fees). Available for purchase from the uniform shop or online (school pickup) until tomorrow, Friday 1 September.
Year 12 QCS
Another cohort of Year 12 Terracians completed their QCS tests on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Well done to the boys and once again, a big thank you to the Year 12 mothers who provided lunch for the boys to keep their energy and concentration levels up!
Tennyson Canteen | Rugby home game vs TGS
This weekend Terrace hosts the Toowoomba Grammar School at Tennyson. Please sign up to help at the canteen on Saturday or drop in if you see we look busy while you are there! Home bake is always welcome and appreciated at the Canteen also.
TLG meeting | Monday 4 September
You are all invited to attend the September TLG meeting, on Monday 4 September. This meeting is the last regular meeting this year, with the TLG Annual General Meeting being held on Monday 9 October. At the September meeting we will be doing a wrap-up from the Spring Luncheon and seeking to gather ideas for 2018 TLG meeting guest speakers and the Mothers’ Retreat, so please come along and bring your suggestions. Morning tea will be served in the Founders’ Room afterwards and everyone is welcome to stay.
