All British Day

If you have a love for all cars British, you should make your way to Tennyson on Sunday 17September for the All British Day . This is not only a great day in the outdoors looking at some beautifully restored cars, it is also a chance for our Terrace family to volunteer some time in the BBQ pit and canteen. This day is a fundraising opportunity for our Music students for the 2019 Singapore tour.

If you have some time to give or some home bake you would like to provide, please go to the following link and fill in your details: https://www.volunteersignup.org/LLJTT

Cultural Photograph Day

Wednesday 4 October is scheduled for a photograph day for Cultural co-curricular activities. An email has already been sent to all students and parents regarding this event. Please note that some students may need a number of different uniforms due to the different activities in which they participate. Please ensure your uniforms are clean and tidy.

Chess

The 2017 chess season has been filled with ups and downs. Leading up to the final game, the 1sts are coming fifth out of the nine GPS schools. This is a massive improvement on our seventh place position after Round 3. In Round 6, although we narrowly lost the night, 2.5-1.5, the 1st team scored the best result to date against BGS. This is indicative of our improvement, not only as individuals, but also as a team. Next year will be a new year and we will work on the middle section of our teams, such as the Seniors, Juniors, Open As, Open Bs and Open Cs. To conclude, although many players may be disappointed with how the season has progressed, our new policies for 2018 on how to improve chess at Terrace directly address the subtle gaps in our abilities.
