Dean of Waterford | Mr Damien Cuddihy

The Waterford community commenced their year this week with a series of lessons aimed at refocusing the mindset of the boys for the year ahead. There were some tired boys sitting in classes throughout the week, but I’m happy to say that the cohort has made a very positive start to the year on a number of fronts.

The doors at Waterford open at 7.30am in the morning and reception is attended until 4pm. However, if students wish to remain at school to study after 3.10pm, they will need go to the library on the main campus. As indicated in Dr Carroll’s parent letter, students are not allowed to use mobile phones throughout the day and have been asked to put their phones in their lockers upon arrival at school. Correspondence with your son throughout the day can be made through student services (P: 3214 5400) or via email using your son’s school email address. Students can check email accounts frequently throughout the day.

The Year 10 Parent Information and TLG Welcome function evening starts at 6pm at Waterford Place next Thursday night. Please don’t hesitate to be in communication early with your son’s tutor or subject teachers if you have any questions or concerns with his learning. Likewise, my door is always open if you would like to discuss any matters involving your son.

I hope the year is a positive experience for your son.
