Director of Sport | Mr Damian Wright
Dear Terrace Family,
Welcome to the 2018 school year. It will be a busy time for the boys with all that is on offer. The in-season activities are well and truly underway with the Rowing, Swimming, Cricket, and Volleyball seasons all heavily active over the December and January holiday periods. Thank you to the boys and their families for making yourselves available for the training sessions that were on offer, not to mention the tours to Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Grafton and Bundaberg.
This weekend is Round 1 of the GPS Round Robin competition, with Terrace competing against BBC.
CRICKET and VOLLEYBALL
Cricket and Volleyball will both be at split venues, so different year levels will be travelling to different venues. – check your team, venue and start time.
Welcome to the 2018 swimming season all new and returning swimmers. By signing up to Terrace Swimming you are now part of Rackley Swim Team and can attend squad training sessions (see timetable on the app). For those unsure where to start you only need to attend one of the junior sessions and the coaches will do an assessment.

It is held from 9-10 February (distance events are held on Friday 9 at 7am at Centenary pool and sprint events are held on Saturday evening at Centenary pool (4.30pm for 5.30pm start). This carnival will determine selection in the Terrace GPS team and placings for age group champions. If your boy attended the swim camp, he is already nominated.

City Districts and Met North Swimming
Any swimmers who would like to nominate for City Districts or Met North swimming please contact Mr Tyron Mandrusiak (firstname.lastname@example.org). This is for individuals and restricted to good club level swimmers who would progress through the district system.
In Rowing the first regatta will occur at Wyaralong, with first races at 8am. It is an early departure via private transport – remembering there will be no bus transport in 2018 to Wyaralong.
Please read the specific reports from the activity coordinators and stay in touch with the College through the College Twitter feed.
For greater detailed information specifically re training and events download the College App / Sport
Good luck to all in 2018.
