Terrace Ladies Group

TLG Meeting

On Monday 18 June we had the end of term TLG meeting. Thank you to the ladies who came along and participated in our discussions. Thank you also to Dr Carroll who gave us a wonderful update on matters like the construction work, TLG funding proposals for the new building, ATAR progression and staff changes for next term, amongst other topics. I would also like to thank the ladies who presented reports on the Years 5-9 Mothers' High Tea, the year level social functions, and the update on the Terralicious planning. There are many people that enable TLG activities to be the success that they are, and we are all very grateful for their efforts and generosity of time. The minutes of the meeting will be emailed this week. 

Tennyson Canteen

Last Saturday we had our last home game for Football at Tennyson. It was a lovely day, starting with scores of hungry Toowoomba Grammar boys arriving by bus early in the morning. Thank you to everyone who came in to help at the canteen and BBQ pit on Saturday, and throughout the season this term. 

Next term we are looking forward to a busy schedule for Rugby. We are looking to improve our service on the big days, so please watch for news on how that will take shape and pitch in when you can.   

Term 3

Below is a list of dates coming up for Term 3. It is going to be a busy one as far as TLG activities go. Please make a note of those relevant to you, especially the year levels we will be seeking assistance from for the various occasions. Also note that the Terralicious Fashion Parade is on in Week 8. There will be information circulated in the weeks leading up to the day with more information and we will be sure to give ample notice as to when tickets will be going on sale. We don’t have that date yet but will advise as soon as we know. As with all these types of TLG events, the Fashion Parade will sell out very quickly, so be sure to pay attention to information as it comes out.

  • Week 7 – Thursday 30 August: Year 5 Orientation Evening, assistance from Year 6 mothers
  • Week 8 – Tuesday and Wednesday 5 and 6 September: QCS Test Day lunch, Year 12 Coordinators to arrange
  • Week 8 – Thursday 6 September: Year 7 Orientation Evening, assistance from Year 8 mothers
  • Week 8 – Friday 7 September: Terralicious Fashion Parade, City Hall.
  • Week 10 – Monday 17 September, 7.30am: TLG Meeting, Founders' Room
