NAPLAN results

Terrace’s NAPLAN results were pleasing with a very big improvement in the Year 9 cohort to finish thirteenth in the state, including ninth in QLD for Writing. Year 7 finished fourth in the state.  They were second in QLD for Numeracy, which was particularly pleasing.

Exams

The message is always that passive revision such as reading and highlighting have a place in revision, but the active (harder) work of writing notes, drawing diagrams, making mind maps and flashcards and answering questions need to be the main focus during revision.
