Principal’s Message | Dr Michael Carroll

Dear Members of the Terrace Family,

It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is upon us.  Much has happened since Day One on 22 January. Our year has been a full one; with many highlights, some sadness and much to celebrate.  I take this opportunity to thank all members of the Terrace Family for your valuable and important contributions to Terrace throughout 2018.

Last Saturday, the Terrace Family was in ‘full swing’.  The Conor Tweedy Long Lunch was a wonderful display of the Terrace Family (and beyond), coming together in support of Conor.  My thanks to the many people who contributed to making the day so successful.  In particular, I thank the Organising Committee for their exceptional work in coordinating the event.  On behalf of all within the Terrace Family, thank you and well done.

The staff will be at school next week finalising their marking and reporting for Semester 2.  The reports will again be distributed electronically and will be accessible from Parent Lounge from Monday 10 December.

As we journey towards the end of the 2018 school year, I wish to say thank you and farewell to those families and staff who are leaving Terrace.  To Mrs Julie Quinn, Mrs Judy Ariotti, Mr Paul Ianniello, Mrs Bronwyn Platz, Mr Andrew Ebrington, Mrs Nicole Kirsch, Mrs Susie Cooper, Mr Gary Stickley and Mr Cam McConnell, I say thank you for all that you have done for the Terrace Family over many years.  I also ask the Terrace Family to keep in their thoughts and prayers, Mr Mark Shori, a teacher at Waterford, who remains very ill in hospital.  We pray for Mark and his family.

Finally, as the Christmas period rapidly approaches and we, as a Catholic community celebrate the birth of Jesus, I wish all members of the Terrace Family a happy, safe and holy Christmas and look forward to reconnecting in 2019.

Merry Christmas and God Bless.
