Chess

Well done to the Chess team who have been competing in the Somerville House Chess Tournament over the past two weekends with pleasing results. The Premier team came second overall, which is an excellent result for this young team. Yang Zhang and Jack Giufre came joint first as individuals on their respective boards, with both winning seven out of seven games and Sullivan Parle came second in the individual tournament.

Theatresports

Theatresports wrapped up for our Junior team after their competition at Mt St Michael’s earlier this month. The boys competed gallantly for their first time in the competition and will continue to train later this year, honing their skills ready to come back into the competition bigger and better next year. Next term will see the return of our Senior 1 and Senior 2 teams in their quarter final heats, competing at home in our very own Edmund Rice Theatre. Senior 2 will compete on 29 July, with Senior 1 on 5 August. The teams are looking forward to seeing as many supporters as possible. Well done to all involved. Special thanks must go to the coach of Senior 3 Ms Tilly Oddy-Black and Junior coach Mr Innes Harriman for their involvement this semester.

2019/2020 Entertainment Books

The Terrace Performing Arts Support Group is once again selling the 2019/2020 Entertainment Books as our major fundraiser. Those within our community who have used these books before will no doubt know their value for money and the scope of activities covered within their pages.

This year, we have decided to focus on the online 'digital book’.  The book can be downloaded via an App to your smartphone and away you go. This eliminates the need to carry the physical book with you and move it from vehicle to vehicle. Of course, if you prefer, the hard copy of the book is still available for purchase and collection from the Cultural office.
