The Waterford journey

Our Year 10 Students should now be shifting their focus from assignment work to exam revision and preparation as we transition into exams next week (Week 6). Year 10 Exams will commence next Friday 27 May.

Following exam week, the boys are looking forward to switching from the normal day to day activities to the Immersion programs, which kick off in Week 8. As the Immersions draw closer, please keep checking your emails and ensuring your parent details are up to date in the parent lounge to receive all correspondence. We sincerely hope the boys will enjoy their time on their chosen immersions and cherish the memories that they will make.

Wednesday 15 June will mark the last day of the upcoming Immersion program and our time with our Year 10s at Waterford Place. It is hard to believe, but we will be saying goodbye to our Year 10s at the end of this term and welcoming a new cohort of Year 9s. I hope your son is enjoying his Waterford experience and the sense of community at Waterford in 2022. Whether it was building new friendships, volunteering for service opportunities, exploring new limits on Immersion, or delving into new concepts in the classroom, I hope each student takes away something positive from their Waterford experience.

Next semester, your son will be back on the main campus, returning to their House. It is most likely that the boy that left the main campus at the end of Year 9 looks a lot different to the young man that will return for Semester 2. On the back of the Waterford and Immersion experience, I hope your son appreciates the privileges he is given and is more conscious of others and how he views them. If you are witness to that, then the Waterford journey has been a success.
