The Gregory Terrace Guidance and Career Counselling Service provides many resources and activities to help students with their career development. These include:
- The Terrace career website page, containing information on topics helpful for career exploration, decision-making and planning.
- The Terrace Old Boys' Career Expo, which is held in May each year. It provides students with an opportunity to talk to representatives of tertiary institutions, GAP Year programs and other organisations such as the Australian Defence Force. Guest speakers (usually Terrace Old Boys) are also invited to talk to students about their occupations.
- Year 10 students undertake a comprehensive career development program in Formation lessons during Terms Two and Three. This program is designed to assist students with their career exploration and their planning for Years 11 and 12.
Students in all year levels (and their parents) are welcome to make appointments to talk with a Guidance Counsellor at Terrace about their plans. Parents should ring +617 3214 5237 to make an appointment. Students can call into the Guidance and Counselling Office in the hallway above the Campbell Centre to make a time that suits them.
Questions about career guidance at Terrace should be directed to Mr Paul Ianniello by email or by calling +617 3214 5204.
