                    Laptops and Devices

The College is transitioning from a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program to a College managed program, including the supply of laptops to students.

In 2023, students from Year 5 were introduced as the first stage of the program. As per the College’s plan, next year students in Year 6 will continue with the laptop provided this year, and Years 5, 7 and 10 students in 2024 will enter the program. In 2024, students in Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 will remain BYOD.

More information about the College managed devices will be provided to families in Years 5 and 7 in the new year.

As a part of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program within the College, all students still on the BYOD program (Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 2024 must bring their own electronic devices to school. This program allows students (and their families) to choose their own devices and use them at the College in their classes.

Device specifications are detailed in the BYOD Device Specification document below.

                    BYOD Supplier - Data3

In the spirit of reconciliation, we, as members of the Terrace Family, acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of our Nation. We acknowledge, respect and give gratitude to the Traditional Owners of the Countries on which our campuses are located. We pay our respects to Ancestors, Elders, and leaders of the future as well as to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of our Terrace Family. We value the knowledge of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and recognise and honour their stories, cultures, and achievements as we walk together for mutual liberation and a truth-telling history for all Australians. Inspired by the Edmund Rice Education Touchstones, we are called to be people of knowledge, humility and wisdom who walk in solidarity with the First Peoples of our Nation for reconciliation, justice, equity and healing.
