                        Terrace Orientation

                          Co-Curricular Activities

The co-curricular program plays an integral role in the College’s holistic approach to boys’ education. Boys are encouraged to be involved across the board in both cultural and sporting programs. These two areas of the College’s co-curricular program work together to enable the boys to balance their commitments.

The College participates in the Great Public Schools’ (GPS) programs and offers students the opportunity to participate in a range of cultural and sporting co-curricular activities. The coordination of these activities is the responsibility of the College Directors of Culture and Sport.

                          Culture

Director of Culture – Mr Matt Cocking

Opportunities to perform and/or represent the College can take place locally, nationally and internationally which include competitions, tours and representation in GPS, and state and national honours programs. Cultural activities include: Chess, Debating, Live Production Services, Mooting, Music (ensembles and lessons), Musicals, Public Speaking, Speech and Drama, Terraflicks, Theatresports and large College events, such as Celebration of Excellence and House Choir.

                          Sport

Director of Sport - Mr Tony McGahan

The sporting program plays an important role in the College’s holistic approach to education. Programs cater for the talented athlete striving for excellence at Regional, State and National level, to the student who wants to compete on a Saturday and/or those students who wish to participate and run around with their school friends. Terrace competes in the GPS competition from Year 5 through to Year 12 (Rowing and Volleyball are available from Year 7 onwards) with the sporting program being based at the College's playing fields at Tennyson and additional venues/facilities.

Various Clinics and Camps are available prior to School commencing. Registration for these events will be available via the College Events page during Term 4.

For any Terrace Sport enquiries please contact us at sport@terrace.qld.edu.au.
