Director of Music | Mr Brad Esbensen

Last weekend we had 29 ensembles participating in the Queensland Catholic Schools and Colleges Music Festival (QCMF) at Villanova College. We had some very good results over the weekend and I would like to thank all the students and conductors for their hard work in preparing for this event, and thank all parents for the support of your sons’ musical endeavours.

Our results for the weekend are as follows:

Congratulations to all the performers, I am very proud of the way they represented Terrace Music over the weekend.

The following students have achieved some great results in the Enoggera Eisteddfod. Gabriel Kolakowski (Year 7) performed an accompanied violin solo and was awarded Highly Commended in his Section (11-12 Years String Performers). Matthew Cho (Year 9) performed a flute solo and won his Wind/Brass Section (Performers of 11-14 Years). Matthew has been invited to perform at the Prizewinner’s Concert in September. Congratulations to the students, their accompanists and teachers.

Congratulations to the Terrace Guitar Ensemble, and their director Mr Toby Loveland, for their performance on College Assembly this week.
