Captains' Corner | Vice Captain, Tom Pappalardo

Over the weekend, the annual Head of the River was held at Wyaralong Dam. The event highlighted a fantastic level of spirit and camaraderie within the 2018 cohort, as three busses full of supporters made their way out to support the rowers. It was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the rowers for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. I would specifically like to congratulate, Nick, Harry, Harry and the rest of the Year 12 boys who competed for the last time on Saturday. A special mention also to the Year 10 2nd Quad and Year 10 5th Quad who won their respective races.

As per usual, amongst all the co-curricular excitement, the term is coming to an end and focus is now placed on fine tuning skills before exams. Reiterating Mrs Quinn’s words on assembly, I encourage everyone to finish strong and make sure they leave nothing in the tank over the next two weeks. Holidays are always that bit more rewarding knowing you have put in 100% until the end.

With a quarter of the sporting season still remaining, I would like to give my best wishes to all those competing in Debating, Cricket and Volleyball. In anyone’s eyes, the level of participation in this term’s programs has been exceptional – I have no doubt Term 2 will be the same.

Congratulations everyone on a successful term so far. Ensure you finish strong.
