Terrace Ladies Group

Canteen

Football season is has now finished. Thank you to all those parents who were able to send in homebake or were able to help out either in the canteen or the barbeque pit.

Term 3 is Rugby season (four home games in 2019) and kicks off with the Nudgee trial matches at home this year on Saturday 13 July (last Saturday of the holidays). Look out for the volunteer signup in the third week of the holidays. Homebake is just as important as being able to give hands-on help in the canteen or barbeque pit. We will be calling on year groups to contribute to the homebake each week. We are constantly trying to improve our offerings at Tennyson. In light of this, the TLG has purchased new warmers for use in both the canteen and the barbeque pit. These, together with the use of line controls, will hopefully reduce wait times in peak periods.

Please feel welcome to come in and help out even if just for a short time. It is a way of meeting new friends and also of finding out about what is happening in the community. Many words of wisdom have been exchanged over the years. Please note that volunteers must be current parents.

Care and concern

This year, we are lucky to have very competent care and concern leaders. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to Chris Giust and Cathy Nash for their work on streamlining the processes. The TLG has recently purchased a larger freezer for Waterford for the storage of C and C meals. This will enable us to cater for families over the holidays and also have a bank of ready-made meals.
Thank you to those who have donated their Coles containers to C and C. We are still collecting them (you can never have too many). If you have some, please drop them to either student reception on Main Campus or at Waterford Place.

Debating Dinner

Don’t forget to purchase your tickets to this year’s event. It is by far the funniest event in the school calendar – yes, debating can be fun. There are limited tickets available, so book yours now to avoid missing out.

Students and parents are invited from Years 5-12. Students are seated at tables with their year level.
